Scottish Funeral flowers
Saying goodbye to a loved one is difficult and sometimes this can make choosing funeral flowers hard to do. After my grandpa passed away I became passionate about changing the way we look at funeral flowers. Too often funeral flowers are chosen from a catalogue and look identical to the next design. Flowers at a funeral are beautiful way to say goodbye to someone and celebrate their life, truly capturing their personality and there is no reason your funeral flowers have to be the same as everyone else's. If you'd like to discuss options for alternative funeral flowers in a natural and wildflower style in Scotland get in touch or for information on the types of designs available visit our natural funeral flowers explained guide.
If you would like to see some more recent examples of our natural funeral flowers have a look at our Instagram feed.
Please note we are based in central Scotland so we cannot offer funeral flowers in other parts of the UK.
WildFlowers
Where possible I will use British and Scottish grown flowers to create beautiful tributes for funerals. If this is not possible due to the time of year we will source top quality Dutch flowers and foliage to achieve a natural, wildflower look.
If you or your family have a garden we are happy to visit to cut materials to incorporate in the funeral designs giving your floral tribute a truly personal touch.
Environmentally Friendly
Briar Rose is as environmentally conscious as possible and part of that means sourcing local products and composting green waste. If you are organising a natural burial or green burial or would like your funeral flowers to be totally natural, biodegradable and environmentally friendly we have a number of "foam free" funeral flower options which capture the same natural wildflower style as foam based designs but in a more environmentaly friendly way.
Personal
There are no rules as to what flowers you must have at a funeral, only traditions and habits. there is nothing to say you have to have a lily caskets spray or chrysanthemum covered letters. To make your funeral flowers truly personal we ask you to tell us about the person you wish to celebrate, anything from a photo to a favourite song or colour can help make your funeral flowers really represent that person. If the person you are celebrating didn't like flowers we can offer planted designs, natural confetti or foliage only designs amongst other options.
